Aosta Valley

Aosta Valley is a small region in the north-west part of Italy, crowned by the highest and most fascinating mountains in the Alps, as Mont Blanc, Matterhron (Cervino) and Monte Rosa.

This region is particularly attractive for tourists due to his unique landscapes, his outdoor sport possibilities, his cultural richness, his food and his people hospitality.

Aosta is the main city with his 25000 citizens. That was built in 25AC by romans. Today is a nice town close to all attractions of his valley.

Monte Rosa

Monte Rosa is the name of a peaks group between Italy and Switzerland. His highest peak (Dufour, 4633m) is the second in the Alps. With his 19 tops over 4000m, Monte Rosa is the most massive mountain of the range.

On Punta Gnifetti (4554m) is located the highest refuge of Alps: Rifugio Margherita, which is opened only in summer for HB treatment but which allows to enjoy spectacular sunrises and sunsets.

Monte Rosa offers to mountain lovers one of best off piste ski area of the world in winter, with runs up to 3000 meters, and great trekking trips of any difficulty in summer, with exceptional natural and cultural features.

Gressoney and Lys Valley

Lys is the river which runs for about 40km in the sunny valley of Gressoney. In this valley you can find different landscapes rising up from plan to Monte Rosa glaciers. During this trip you can discover typical wood and stone houses built by mountain people, which are distinctive of their peculiar Walser culture.

At the top of Lys valley there are the two Gressoney villages: Saint Jean (1400m) and La Trinité (1600m), beautiful holiday stations well known for their hospitality and out door activities.
