Programmes for 2011 July 23 - 29 Alta via n°1 - the giants path 23, monday: departure from Gressoney Saint Jean, ascent to Pinter col, descent to Crest village and then to Ferraro refuge - 7h. 24, tuesdau: descent to st.Jaques, ascent to Nana col, descent to Valtournanche and last ascent to Barmasse refuge - 7h 40. 25, wednesday: up and down hike crossing the 'finestra di Tzan' col until the Cuney refuge - 5h 45. 26, thursday: traverse to Vessona col, descent to Oyace, climb up to Brison col and descent to Ollomont - 10h. 27, friday: ascent to Champillon col, descent for Prailles keeping on to Saint Remy village - 7h30. 28, saturday: ascent to Malatrà col and descent to Bonatti refuge - 7h. 29, sunday: traverse to Bertone refuge and descent to Courmayeur - 4h 30. Pick up with taxi to Gressoney. Costs: about 80€ every day for half board and lunch (6 days), 40€ for taxi, 100€ for the guide, 100€ for extras. Total: 720€ per person. It's possible to organize a pick up from Torino Caselle airport and one or more nights in Gressoney in hotel for special prices.
